Revolution’s Super Sfins2 in ‘OO’

VERY much associated with the Railfreight and Privatisation era, the Sfins2 bogie vans were built in 1987 to the UK loading gauge by German rollingstock manufacturer Waggon Union.

The 160-plus wagons (documented as 83 80 4741 000-161) were coded as IWA under TOPS. Part of the fleet was operated by Cargowaggon for general freight traffic, some of which would be short term flows, together with aluminium from Anglesey and the Ditton Foundry.

IWAs were operated on Norsk Hydro fertilizer traffic too, originating from Immingham to various terminals around the country alongside Kimera bagged fertilizer traffic from Ince & Elton.
