Shattered dream

I am writing to you with a broken heart. For years I have wanted to write to thank you for how you have positively influenced my professional career and how you have managed to make me experience emotions simply while sitting on the sofa. Unfortunately, however, mine is a sad letter, one which I never thought I would write.
