The mighty Micron!

As many of you may well be aware, Steve Cooper isn’t just a valued contributor to CMM, he is also the editor of the VJMC’s Tansha magazine.

Well, Steve very kindly invited me to write a few words about the Suzuki X7 parts I was putting up for sale as there is a good little story centred around them, which Bertie has asked me to recall for CMM, too.

The centre of focus is The Micron Suzuki X7 special with over-bored (271cc) engine which took a 350cc class national Pro-Street speed record at Elvington, Yorkshire, in 1982. This bike started as a standard 1978 X7 and I had joined the staff of
