Spring and Summer. Across the US, the warm weather bodes of grill-outs, picnics, and get-togethers. During you next gathering, why not have a little extra fun by introducing your friends and family to one of these shop-made games?
Whether you’re a beginner or a shop veteran, you’ll find some fun challenges in each of these games. Plus, building a simple project such as these yard games is a great way to introduce someone to woodworking. Kids especially enjoy spending a little time in the shop, working on a game, then getting to go out and reap the reward of playing it.
The three games shown here are of varying skill level, to both create and play. Danielle tackles the first game in the list: Kubb. It’s an easyto-make game that the entire family can play. You can build it as simple as you′d like, or try your hand at a little power carving to add some detail like Danielle did.
Next, Collin tackles a recent favorite: ladder golf. His set, however, isn’t your standard, cheaply made PVC version that you buy in the store. Thischerryandmaplesethas removable legs for easy storage.
