Green shoots in the recovery of nature

The principal aim of a sporting driven day is to spend time in the field, in the company of friends, harvesting nature’s bounty by shooting what gives you pleasure. What if “all in an environmentally sustainable manner” was tagged on to the end of that aim?

The notion of a ‘green’ shoot day may leave some scoffing and choking. However, having previously observed the clear biodiversity net-gains that shooting helps to achieve at the Black’s farm, I now aim to investigate how shooting can and does help with the other weighty demands our government has placed upon farmers such as my friend Ed Nesling, who owns Flea Barn.
