PUB TALK

As mentioned last month, the National Motorcycle Museum Open Day managed to take place in 2021, and was even expanded into a two-day event. When the PUB Vincent rolled up there was already a well patinated Triumph T110 parked, having presumably braved the rain (PUB had waited for it to abate a bit). The same bike was reported to have been a prizewinner at the Crich Tramway Museum’s classic bike day (which clashed with the Pioneer this year) – so it is clearly a well used machine. Inside the foyer the AJS, BSA, and Douglas cars have sadly gone to raise money, but the Brough Superior Golden Dream which used to feature there has simply been relocated inside one of the halls, with other Brough Superior exhibits. PUB can always find interesting things to examine at the museum, not least the two pre-war racing Vincents, twin and single. As it happens the single has a lot in common with her project, including the very rare large petrol tank.

Something else that PUB attended was the VMCC autojumble at Shepton
