THE SHAPE OF THINGS

VOGUE AUSTRALIA: FIRSTLY, CONGRATULATIONS ON PLAYING CATWOMAN. WHAT DREW YOU TO THIS ROLE?

ZOË KRAVITZ: “When my agent called me and said they were making a Batman film and they wanted to meet me for this role, it was exciting for almost superficial reasons in that we’ve all grown up with this character and she means so much to us culturally. But then I met Matt [Reeves, The Batmandirector] and read the script and it became about something else for me. He had written such a wonderfully complex female character and sadly those don’t happen all the time, so it was this incredible combination of a very big movie, but one that had so much depth and heart.”
