MILFORD HAVEN
The Milford Haven Waterway is not a large estuary, as many believe, rather it is a ria, or submerged valley, which was flooded at the end of the last ice age. As a result, even when you are fishing many miles inland from the open sea you will be fishing in salt, rather than brackish, water and catching species more typically associated with the open sea rather than a sheltered inland waterway.
