    There are some great bargains to be had in the second-hand boat market. But there are also plenty that will end up costing you considerably more than you had intended, or can even afford to pay. I recommend that before you part with any cash you enlist the help of someone who has a sound knowledge of boats and knows exactly what to look for.

    When viewing a secondhand boat the first thing to do is give it a thorough looking over.
