A life less ordinary

Now that 2021 has coughed and wheezed to a close, I find myself standing in a churchyard on a hill overlooking a beautiful white beach in the north-east of Scotland, looking for a forgotten fragment of cycling history. The rider whose grave I’m trying to find didn’t break any records, never entered any races and was never awarded a pro contract.
