THE SMARTER MOVIE MAGAZINE

I’ve met and interviewed Robert Pattinson numerous times over the years since, and have always enjoyed the quirky frankness that comes from conversations with him. He’s so anti-celebrity and fiercely independent in his choices that it should have come as no surprise to anyone when he was announced as the leftfield candidate to reinvent the Dark Knight for a new audience. Like Bruce, Pattinson views his world with a smirking irreverence but is deadly serious when it comes to the work – I’m intrigued to discover what he does with Mr. Wayne, and our allaccess look into this issue should whet your appetite for his latest outing. Is it a reboot, a requel or a reinvention? We try to find the answers, and we’re also delving into other iterations of Gotham’s enforcer with our look back at and the art department genius that goes into creating a tangible Bat world. Like Pattinson, Batman is constantly reinventing himself and I’m here for it. Send up the Bat signal and bring it on.
