Mum’s the word

Mother’s Day, or Mothering Sunday, falls in March, and mothering is a rich theme to explore in writing. Mothering doesn’t only come from our personal mothers, but all the women who have helped and nurtured us, such as grandmothers or aunts, teachers, sisters, friends. We refer to our mother country, mother nature, mother earth – the places we come from and return to, that give us a sense of belonging.
