TREE MUSKETEERS Hereford have planted a red-leaf oak tree at their Wyeside ground to mark their 150th year in a novel way. It represents the One West club’s anniversary motto of “From tiny acorns mighty oaks do grow” and reflects their journey from uncertain beginnings to become an established part of the city’s sporting culture.

They played their first match in the 1870-71 season at the Harold Street Army Barracks ground and had at least a dozen other ‘home’ venues around the city before settling at Wyeside
