As he walked his youngest daughter Hermione down the candlelit aisle of the magnificent 12th-century church of St John the Baptist in Cirencester last week, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen breathed a big sigh of relief.

He was meant to have been hosting the nuptial celebrations at a castle in Aberdeenshire along with 380 guests but was forced to cancel at the last minute – the third cancellation in two years due to Covid restrictions.

The wedding, which eventually took place in the family’s Cotswolds home town, however, was no less impressive.

“It was very big, very flourishy and very us, but there was a realness to it too,” says the proud father-of-the-bride as he shares his memories of the big day with hello!
