FERRIES TO TEXEL

The island of Texel, with a population of around 13,600, is the largest and most populated of the West Frisian Islands in the Wadden Sea. TESO operate a ferry service which has linked the island to the Dutch mainland for over a century. Inhabitants of the island were dissatisfied with the price and quality of the previous ferry service, operated by the Alkmaar Packet company from 1882.
