New year, first deer

Inevitably, waking up on New Year’s Day is a painful experience. The celebrations from the night before have well and truly caught up with you and the thought of getting out of bed fills you with dread. A headache gently thuds away and, no matter how soft the pillow, you can’t escape it.

The first day of 2022 was no different and it took a pint of Berocca and two coffees before I felt sufficiently human again. But I knew that the real cure would be provided by fresh air and so an outing was very much in order.
