The late 1990s saw many manufacturers launch all-new cabs; the Mercedes Actros broke cover, as did Renault’s Premium and Scania’s new 4 series. All were brand new cabs and not reworkings of older shells.
Then came MAN’s new TG-A which literally was a cube of a cab. It was a replacement for the F2000 models that used the same cab as on the F90 models that had been introduced way back in 1987 and, if the truth be told, a partial reworking of the F8 cab from the early 1970s. The TG-A was completely new, and rather radical cab shape.
