What was the first conversation you had with Terry Matalas about returning as Q?

The first thing he said was, “I’m sure you expected this to take place.” I said, “Well, no, actually I didn’t, Terry. There were many other opportunities along the way, with the movies and what have you, for this to take place, and it didn’t. So I wasn’t expecting it.” He said, “Well, we would like you to reprise your role.” I said, “Do you have any intention of putting me in tights? Because that’s a game-stopper right there. I will not. So why that character had become popular sort of eluded all of us.
