Founded on a #RockUpAndRace ethos, the British Sailing League has gathered real momentum since it was first rolled out in 2016. Originating from a partnership between the RYA and the Royal Thames YC, the idea was first conceived to promote interclub keelboat fleet racing. The BKL was also intended as a feeder to the Sailing Champions League, which was at the time taking first Germany then later Europe by storm, and which now has series spanning as far a field as Australia and New Zealand.
