Three years ago, I needed a better car. My Rover 75 was falling apart and not comfortable with my latest hobby, which was caravanning. The 1.8T manual 75 had to go, but what to replace it with? I looked at various caravan mags for a replacement. I did not want a SUV, just a saloon that could also pull a caravan. The Jaguar XF 3.0D seemed a good choice. The engine was a powerful diesel with good low-down torque and an automatic gearbox. It was also heavy (2000kg), which is normally a bad thing, but actually a good thing for caravan towing since
