SOUTH WALES CLASSIC REOPENS

Afan Forest’s 45km Skyline trail, beloved of hardcore cross-country riders, is back and better than ever, after being closed to mountain bikers for nearly 10 years.

Starting from the Glyncorrwg MTB Centre, the red-graded route is a long-distance gem for riders who like a challenge. It was shut in 2012, to allow construction of the Pen y Cymoedd wind farm – the biggest onshore farm in England and Wales, with 76 turbines. Then, Natural Resources Wales took the opportunity to improve the trail before reopening it.
