Color of Connection Quilt

How did the three of you first connect, and what made you join forces to create Color of Connection?

Michelle: We first met on Instagram. When racial tensions and injustices surged throughout 2020, we sought out a way to connect with one another. We saw the need for others to meet and love others that look different, think different and live differently to each other.

Porfiria: Coming together was amazing. We all admired each other’s work and wanted others to experience what we experienced, which is three women connecting over a love of quilting. We were not concerned with the colour of our skin or social class, we all share a common ground and everyone should connect the way we have.
