Heading off to Cornwall for a cycling and walking holiday might not seem that unusual – after all, it is blessed with some of the UK’s most picturesque coast, endless quiet lanes and wonderful villages where you can stop for coffee (and cake).

What might seem a bit more unusual is going there in November. But when it comes to outdoor activities, I have always believed the old adage that there’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong kit.
