HOWTO… Set up a spy camera in your home
What you need: Blink Mini camera
Time required: One hour
Internet-connected cameras are shrinking. The smallest aren’t much bigger than a sugar cube, and you can even find pens, calculators and power adapters with tiny lenses and sensors built in. It’s never been easier to hide one in a discreet place so you can secretly monitor what’s going on in your home.
That’s what we’ll do here with a Blink Mini camera (£27 from Amazon www.snipca.com/40445, pictured right), which measures just 50x49x36mm (HxWxD). It’s easy to find space for it on a shelf or desk, and it comes with a moveable stand, complete with screw holes, so you can fix it to the wall in your lounge or by the front door. We managed to squeeze it in between books on our shelf, where intruders would be unlikely to spot it.
1 Set up the Blink app
Once you’ve bought the camera, remove everything from the box aside from the European (two-pin) plug, and peel off all protective film. Next,) and Android 5 or later (). Once it’s installed, launch it and tap Create Account at the bottom of the screen.
