2WD buggies are possibly the purest form of off-road RC racing. They don’t pack as many drivetrain components or moving parts as their 4WD cousins, they’re far more agile than pretty much any off-road truck, and they are fairly straightforward to build. It was the humble 2WD buggy that first captured my attention on the shelves of my local hobby shop when I was a kid, and although I’m admittedly an avid truck fan the 2WD buggy has always held a fond place in my mind. So as luck has it, we recently had the opportunity to build and review Team Losi’s pro-level 2WD buggy offering, the TLR 22 DC 5.0 Elite.
