SKY-HIGH WINNER

A roof garden in Austin, Texas, that recreates the feel of the nearby Hill Country region has won its creators, Design Workshop, Inc, the Award of Excellence in the Residential Design category of the 2021 ASLA Professional Awards. Sky Garden at 70 Rainey, a high-rise residential towe, puts sustainability at the heart of its design, which includes more than 70 native plant species and numerous absorbent surfaces to manage stormwater run-off. The semi-evergreen Crossvine () covers the cable railing, providing year-round wind protection. The garden also has an infinity pool and a variety of spaces for the residents. ;
