CHANGE TYRES LIKE A PRO, LITERALLY!

The thought of fitting fresh rubber can cause nightmares for most riders. Throw in the idea of having to change a tyre fitted with a mousse during a fifteen minute work period at the end of a hard day on the bike at the Australian Four-Day Enduro (A4DE) and this is enough to make a rider not even fill out his entry for the event. I totally understand the fear and confusion people get when they have a tyre change ahead.

My first senior enduro race was the 1997 International Six-Days Enduro (ISDE) in Italy and to successfully get through the technical terrain I needed the skills to at least do one tyre change every day. It’s funny for me to look back and remember how I was only just sixteen years old, about to race my first senior enduro that happened to be a Teams World Championship, and I was not worried about my riding.
