Even though COVID-19 has delayed the world’s biggest farm machinery show by a few months, Agritechnica’s traditional medals for new innovations have been awarded.

Originally scheduled for November 2021 in Hanover, Germany, the biennial show has been postponed to February 27–March 5, 2022.

Event organiser the German Agricultural Society (DLG) has nonetheless handed out its innovation awards on the original schedule, as manufacturers keep a close eye on rising COVID-19 case numbers in Germany ahead of the postponed event.

The DLG Gold Medal Award for Innovation was awarded to German company NeXaT GmbH for its unique NeXaT, which is an autonomous carrier vehicle that can carry all implements needed for tillage work.
