Fish Aggregating Devices Continue To Be Deployed Statewide
ne of most popular projects of the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Aquatic Resources (DAR) is the Fish Aggregating Device (FAD) program. Funded by the Federal Aid in Sport Fish Restoration program and state funds, FADs have been enhancing fishing opportunities in the near-shore waters of Hawai‘i for more than 40 years by attracting various pelagic species. There are currently 54 FAD stations
