BIANCA LOVED SATURDAYS, the day Tía Raquel came to visit . . . all the way from the city. They’d go shopping, or play dominó, or concoct their special spicy empanadas.
But the best part of Saturday was when Bianca took out her sparkly purple hairbrush. She’d pull the brush through her aunt’s long, long, so long black hair—glorious hair that tickled her waist. Bianca especially loved the scent of Tía Raquel’s apple-blossom shampoo. Mmm.
