“Ben More is easily climbed from Dishig on Loch na Keal. An ascent in fine weather reveals the isles from Ireland to the Outer Hebrides, and the Highlands over vast tracts beyond naming. Around the summit, clouds boil up with extreme rapidity: map and compass are essential, but the compass should be read well away from the cairn, which is magnetic.”
