Architect Lorenzo Grifantini and his wife Allegra Figus, a stylist and costume designer, always had a thing for Salento. A land of old traditions and travels in their youth, this spot in the ‘heel’ of Italy’s ‘boot’ is at the southern end of Apulia, and was a place the couple continued to visit with their own (local farmhouses) and other great semi-rural dwellings, but nothing sparked much interest.
