THE SHOWS OF THE YEAR

Renovation shake-up

SELLING HOUSES AUSTRALIA (s14)

When AACTA-winning favourite Selling Houses Australia returns to screens this year, real estate expert Andrew Winter will be joined by two new faces: design guru Wendy Moore and landscape designer Dennis Scott.

“How do they compare to Shaynna [Blaze] and Charlie [Albone]? Well, they don’t actually and that’s probably why it’s so brilliant,” says Winter. “They don’t in any shape or form and I think that’s really good.”

While it’s been a long time between seasons due to the pandemic, which not only delayed the start of production but caused havoc once it did finally get underway – with closed borders leading to the cast being stuck in Sydney for months on end, unable to fly interstate to complete filming – Winter assures us that, between the extended break, the new hosts and an almost entirely different production crew, the show feels fresher and more exciting than ever.

“It feels completely new, which is really interesting,” he tells FOXTEL magazine.

For Moore, who is FOXTEL Group General Manager, Lifestyle and, getting the chance to roll up her sleeves for a change and demonstrate her design and styling skills has been a rewarding experience.
