Q&A ON MISSION CLAIRE CASHMORE

Claire Cashmore was propelled into the nation’s consciousness back in 2012 when she was chosen as one of the faces of Channel 4’s Meet the Superhumans campaign, speaking candidly about her disability (she was born without a left forearm). Competing as a para-swimmer since her first Games in Athens, she’s collected a total of eight medals in the pool, including gold in the 4 x 100m medley relay in Rio. Swapping to paratri in 2017, the 33-year-old Loughborough-based athlete is now one of her category’s top contenders, and ends 2021 as a Paralympic paratri bronze medallist and the European and world PTS5 champion.
