I assumed it would be difficult to get insurance for a Mercury Marquis, with it being a massive, left-hand-drive V8, but it turned out to be cheaper than for my Golf. My girlfriend won’t drive it and people sometimes get nervous because it’s so wide, but you can’t drive it like a hooligan anyway – it will get to 70 comfortably,
