Jane set for OSCARS GLORY

Dame Jane Campion’s new movie The Power Of The Dog leads the pack in Golden Globe nominations, with the Central Otago-filmed flick up for seven trophies, including two nods for the Kiwi filmmaker in the Best Director and Best Screenplay categories.

And Jane, 67, is in an even better place for the Critics Choice Awards, with the Netflix movie – her first feature-length in 12 years – nabbing 10 nominations and leaving the Wellington-born director in pole position for next year’s Academy Awards.

Incredibly, the Oscar winner has confessed, “I was actually thinking of retiring before I did this film, but then I thought, ‘Oh, man, this is gonna be a big one.’ I’d read the book and loved it. Afterwards, I just kept thinking about it… That’s when I knew it
