Ugly Dave Gray ‘MY HUMOUR IS OLD-FASHIONED!’

With his huge signature cigars and risque jokes, Ugly Dave Gray formed a legendary partnership with the king of Australian television, Graham Kennedy, and won a legion of fans with his fast quips on 1970s game show Blankety Blanks.

These days, the stand-up comedian is enjoying life on the Gold Coast with his wife of 40 years. “They are less relaxed today whereas I had a free hand, and if I was out of order they would just put a ‘bleep’ in. Humour has changed tremendously. I suppose my humour today would be called old-fashioned, but I don’t care.”
