HE Ross Harriers are the oldest hunt in Herefordshire, pre-dating the local foxhound packs. Their first recorded meet – which was written up by William – took place at Orcop on 16 November 1821, and a celebration of that occurred on 20 November 2021 with a day’s trail-hunting followed by supper in the evening at the Fountain Inn in Orcup.
