racks is our favourite groovebox of 2021, but it’s not been the only beatmaking game in town. In fact, it’s not even the only Circuit following hot on its heels. There’s a lot to like about Rhythm – particularly the sharp design and powerful sequencer it shares with its sibling – although for our money it loses a touch of the intuitiveness. The sampling workflow is inherently more complex, and operating without a screen can be fiddly at times.
