ICE STATION FLOUNDERS

SEEMINGLY ON THE ENDANGERED list, the mud-dwelling flounders of Poole Harbour have been increasingly difficult to locate during the past few years, yet when given the correct tide and weather conditions there is a realistic chance for anglers to catch a few fish.

Being the world’s second largest natural harbour there is certainly plenty of scope to find them due to the numerous small inlets that hardly ever see a rod, especially along the more remote western shoreline.
