The Fordson Major E27N was the first tractor I remember from my early years, when my father ran two of them on our dairy farm, way back in the late 1950s. Our E27Ns survived until late 1963, when they were replaced by a David Brown Cropmaster Diesel in ’64 and a 25D a year later.
This where my interest in the model emanates from, and I now have two of them myself, one of which has been. The second tractor has been featured over the years where appropriate, with the rebuilding of the Hesford winch it is equipped with. This tractor tends to sit around dozing until I find the odd job for it to do.
