Stripped bare!

I left you last time halfway through removing the wiring harnesses and a bit of a puzzle with an added wire going to the tail light from the ignition switch.

Well, a few minutes later, I came across the ignition switch that had VF1000 $75 written on it (Photo 1). I will have to wait until the harness, etc., is fully examined to see what else has been done before I fix it all up.

The handlebar switches are removed next and they are very dirty inside and very stiff. There is also a crack in one of the plastic covers; these will be put in a ‘to be repaired’ box. Tip: Try to keep removed parts as complete units in dedicated boxes or bags. For example, Next I removed the ignition. I then took off the headlight holder frame and saw more writing – ‘CB 750 FB 81’. I wonder how many parts were replaced in total?
