Ron Edlington
Ron Edlington is the owner of the Wright Ford Shelby-optioned XY Fairmont GS we featured in . Back in the day Ron was a regular race goer at Victorian motor racing meetings in the ‘70s, and he always took his camera with him. The Torana A9X pics would have been from the ‘78 Sandown championship round - which was the scene of Ian Geoghegan’s last touring car race win. The Sports Sedan pics (and Colin Bond and the HDT Torana L34) are from Calder in ‘75 - our cover car this issue, the Ian Geoghegan Craven-Mild HJ Monaro, can be seen (top right) next to the ex-Bob Jane Trans-Am Mustang of Bob Stevens, who would later own and race the Geoghegan Monaro.
