The year 2021 may have been wrought with continued uncertainties in the world, but it definitely did not stop Gucci from having quite a memorable one. Already one of the buzziest names in luxury fashion—a spot it has regularly held across many different ‘top luxury fashion brands’ lists—Gucci kept itself in this year’s headlines with its landmark 100th-year celebrations.

It started in April with the rumbling of an impending collaboration with Balenciaga that was said to be revealed during Gucci’s short film .
