Hyke is one of those brands that if you know, you know. The Japanese outfit, founded by husband-and-wife duo Hideaki Yoshihara and Yukiko Ode, has been working on its own interpretation of contemporary, minimally designed fashion since 2013. While Hyke does categorically women’s fashion, its design aesthetics—marked by clean lines, utilitarian elements, and at times, oversized volumes—lend a genderless appeal that has gained a cult following among the stylish men and women in Japan and abroad.
It helps too that the brand has had successful collaborations with the likes of adidas and The North Face. Not only have these further spread Hyke’s awareness in among the streetwear-leaning set, but also cemented its position as one of Japan’s rising stars in fashion.
Moncler Genius is by far Hyke’s biggest project yet. The scale was magnified even more with a renewed approach to the new edition that Moncler dubbed Mondogenius, a live virtual event spanning across several countries during Milan Fashion Week
