ON THE DOWN L’OE
Let’s take a trip to Pottstown, Pennsylvania, on Labor Day weekend – which, for the non-American readers is a holiday always held on the first weekend in September. Pottstown is a small industrial town outside of Philadelphia, about 2 hours southwest of New York City, that’s probably not used to the large influx of cars and people descending on it to take part in something spectacular. But, as it transpires, that’s exactly what Jamie Orr’s L’oe Show turned out to be!
As folk arrived in town, there was a buzz in the air of something new, something not done before. Most started to arrive on Friday, as there was a lot to take part in over this weekend, with our own first stop being the hotel to unload. There are people and cars arriving from all over the country to attend; names and faces like Carl ‘Players’ Taylor (now with Rotiform) [who? – Ed], George Achorn (VWVortex co-founder), and Sean Maynard (VW Experiential Marketing), and even a group of friends making a 3,000 mile drive with 3 cars from California to name
