Motoring magazines of the 1950s

With most new MGs being exported to the USA in the early post-war years, British fans could do little but patch up their old pre-war Midgets and dream about the day when new cars would eventually become available. At least there was no shortage of publications to keep them informed about the latest developments in motoring.

Nuffield dealerships could provide copies of , an in-house magazine originally published as . It contained articles designed to appeal to Morris, MG and Riley owners but much of the content was of a general nature: holidays, places to visit, motoring tips etc., rather than about Nuffield cars themselves. The correspondence pages were filled with letters from loyal owners, mostly saying they had covered thousands of trouble-free miles. This publication seems to have lasted well into the 1960s.
