1 NSW MID-NORTH COAST: Mixed bag on reefs

The offshore scene during November saw an increase in the numbers and size of striped marlin. Some solid fish were tagged before cooler water currents moved in and chilled the fishing down. Pakula ‘Sprocket’ and JB Lures ‘Dingo’ were the lures accounting for most catches. The cooler water also brought an end to catches of mackerel tuna, although some early catches of longtail tuna, mostly single fish, were reported from between Port Stephens and South West Rocks.
