DJ SIR-VERE & STAR SONREON ‘HOW HIP-HOP HEALED US’

When it comes to summing up the impact that hip-hop has had on his life, radio star and music pioneer DJ Sir-Vere – real name Philip Bell – describes it as “transport” in that it takes him places.

“At one point, it probably meant money,” confesses the father-of-four, referring to his phenomenal career, which has spanned decades and seen him granted the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to music.
