The world has lost its most celebrated Indigenous actor. A proud Yolngu man, David Gulpilil Ridjimiraril Dalaithngu AM helped shape the Australian film landscape with iconic roles in (1971), (1986), (2002), (2008) and more, but it was his mesmerising turn as Fingerbonethat cemented him as one of the country’s greatest talents.
